Join us for the AB 2943
on June 22nd!
We can make a difference IF we all join together to participate. Numbers speak volumes.
First, a quick background:
AB 2943 prohibits individuals, whether a pastor, clergy, or licensed therapist, from: advertising sexual orientation change efforts, offering to engage in sexual orientation change efforts, and engaging in sexual orientation change efforts. This legislation also bans books that are aimed at helping individuals deal with sexual orientation and gender identity questions.
AB 2943 has made it's way through the California State Assembly & is now making it's way through the State Senate. AB 2943 will be heard in the Senate Appropriations Committee on Monday, June 25th. We expect that it will pass there. This is why we have formed the District Day of Action.
Once the bill passes the Appropriations Committee, it will be voted on by the entire Senate. Your senator needs to hear from you. The most effective way to make an impact is for people to communicate their opposition to those elected to represent them.
