LA Data Spotlight

As part of ABC’s mission to raise awareness about issues that impact the Los Angeles Latino community, ABC has created an online LA Research Library that houses current education, economic development, housing and health research on Los Angeles County communities. This body of work not only informs ABC’s advocacy agenda but seeks to spark robust and critical civic dialog that will lead to action and change.

In January, ABC released its Vision for Los Angeles Public Education which outlined four educational priority areas for system improvement. Among these priorities was ensuring fiscal equity, responsibility and accountability within LAUSD. As part of our efforts to raise awareness in this area we are spotlighting a body of emerging work from our local and state partners that highlight the current lack of budget transparency and inequitable LCFF funding across the District. These reports are establishing the foundation for the movement towards a more just and equitable budget system for all LA students. Click the image below for links to the individual reports.
