As the owner, PLEASE tell me when you rent your listing so I can remove it. If you can't find what you need here, don't forget to check the bulletin boards at ABC and CDM or their rental pools, web links are below.  

Make sure to check your timeshare calendar. There is nothing worse than showing up at the resort only to find you have come on the wrong week. TS calendars are on both the ABC and CDM web sites. 

Please send me your listings for the following week by Friday at noon. You can always assume that I have sent the list and if you don't  get it please check your spam or junk mail folder BEFORE you contact me. I am neither a broker nor an agent, just an owner who likes to help others!! Tell them you saw it on "Kandys List" and send me your ABC or CDM posts, they are FREE! See you on the beach.

Sorry, but I no longer list banked rentals you might have with RCI and II. I will only list units that you OWN and that are available for rent.


 

When renting a unit at ABC or CDM please keep in mind the occupancy rate. ABC Royal is 6, ABC Deluxe is 5, ABC Superior is 4, CDM Presidential is 6 and CDM Ambassador is 4. Any more persons that allowed in a room is NOT permitted. If you rent a cot the amount of persons for the unit is still the same. These occupancy rules are being strictly enforced at both resorts. Remember as the owner YOU are responsible for any damages your renter might make so choose your renters wisely. 

As the owner of a unit, you are the only person who has the right to rent your room. This is often risky to give your room to a broker because of several things that can go wrong. I know for a fact that there are people that poach from my list and rent making a profit but without knowing who they are I can't remove them from my mailing list. I am asking your co-operation in sending me the names of anyone that might approach you offering to rent your unit for you or asking you to rent it and put in in someones name beside their own. Never assume that because you saw the ad on "Kandys List" that it couldn't be a scam. Always confirm ownership with the resort BEFORE you send any money. As the owner, YOU are responsible for any damages done by any guest or renter.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:  When renting privately or sending guests, the Club will record your guests scheduled to use your week/unit/year as submitted via the Member Guest Authorization form available on the Club's website.  However, your guests are not considered CONFIRMED and will not be allowed access to your unit unless Maintenance Fees are PAID for that period.


 

Just a reminder to those owners of weeks 20-28 at ABC to let your renters know in advance there will be no elevator service during those 2 months while the new elevator is being installed.

Both of our wonderful resort restaurants, Ricardo's and Matthew's, have an "all you can eat rib night". I have to make a comment that I feel very strongly about. It was from an observation during my recent visit. It was "rib night" and one of the restaurants had 2 large tables set up, one for 14 people and the other for 12 meant for parties who obviously made reservations for 6pm. People had been turned down for early reservations because of these two tables. Patrons without reservations were waiting outside. Finally, at 6:45, the staff broke down both tables and started seating those that were waiting. So my comment is, " Don't make reservations if you don't plan to keep them". Your thoughtlessness not only hurts the restaurant, their staff and the people who would have taken the reservation but it hurts YOUR resort. The end!

I always mention scammers and each week in the message above I post the email addresses for both CDM and ABC where you should ALWAYS confirm ownership before making a deal or sending money to someone. Most recently these scammers have gotten bolder and to the point of printing off Guest of Member Forms from the web site, filling them out and sending them to renters. A couple of people have actually fallen for this scam and sent money. I do not know every person that places and ad on my list. I do not know if they are the actual owner or not. I do not know everyone that reads my list and takes ads from it and calls them their own. It is so sad that this is the kind of world we live in now so PLEASE be vigilant and don't become a victim to these types of scams. If you are an owner of CDM you probably received a message similar to this last week so please take heed.

 

I would like to thank the people who have recently donated money to keep this list going. I tried so hard to keep it below 2500 people but I am now in the next tier (2501-5000) which is $46.75 a month. I just renewed for another 6 months so thank you again.

Hi Kandy we are in Aruba right now (week 11 & 12) and loving it!

The weather has been glorious not a drop of rain. The beach at ABC has a drop down in the ocean so you have to be careful.

Tried the new restaurant across the street TOF (Taste of flavors) and it was wonderful.  Burgers are amazing. Had a seafood dish top rated.

 

Hello Kandy our team from Boston had a great time in Aruba last week and a hard fought game against the Aruban over 50's soccer team ended up in a 2-1 win for our hosts, Friendships were renewed and new friendships made. We especially enjoyed being invited to enjoy National flag day at the home of one of our Aruban friends with their family and friends with a great BBQ and liquid refreshments. We also added another 20 folks to Ricardo's Thursday night Karaoke so it was a bit of a lively night, dinner at his restaurant was excellent as always.

Casa del Mar has both two-bedroom, Presidential Suites and one-bedroom, Ambassador (AMB) Suites.

 

Presidential Suites offer air conditioned luxurious two-bedroom suites with two baths, fully equipped kitchen with all utensils and place settings required for a family of six, dining room, living room with queen size sleep sofa, three TV's, clock radio, phone, in-room safe and balcony or patio.  Presidential Suites sleep up to six people. The Presidential Master Bedroom features a king size bed, dresser, remote control TV and large closet with mirrored sliding doors. In addition to lamps on each night stand there are small adjustable reading lamps located on the wall above the headboard. A private master bath suite with shower and a separate extra large bathtub allow guests to luxuriate in privacy.

Ambassador (AMB) Suites offer air conditioned luxurious one bedroom suites with private bath, fully-equipped kitchen with all utensils and place settings required for a family of four, dining room, two TV's, radio, phone and balcony or patio. The Ambassador Master Bedroom features a king size bed, dresser, remote control TV, large closet with mirrored sliding doors and lamps on each night stand.  The Ambassador Suites have their own private courtyard with pool, pool deck and gas grilles available for guest's use. All suites sleep up to four people and include an in-room safe, two color televisions and a pull-out sofa bed in the living room.
