Prepare now for Employee Voter Registration Week
Engage your employees in the 2016 election by helping them take the first step: registering to vote. An estimated 1 in 4 eligible U.S. citizens were not registered to vote in the 2014 election. What's more, data shows that 63 percent of employees who heard from their employers about an upcoming election found the information shared made them more likely to vote. That's why ABI is promoting Employee Voter Registration Week, Sept. 26-30. Start communicating with your employees now about the importance of registering to vote. Share the video below with details specific to Iowa, visit www.iavotes.com for additional resources and make plans to participate in Employee Voter Registration Week!

Rep. Rod Blum visited International Paper in Cedar Rapids last week, where he spoke with employees. Blum is running for re-election to Iowa's first congressional district against Monica Vernon. Inviting candidates and elected officials to your facilities is an excellent way to help them understand the issues most important to you and your employees. Share photos and information about your visits with the ABI staff and we'll share them online!
