You can add a security screen and still be protected.  Security screens are a tamper proof window screen which can activate the alarm if the screen is removed or cut.  It allows customers to have their windows wide open for fresh air while still maintaining complete security protection on the window opening.

Auto arming is an excellent feature for many of our commercial customers.  This feature provides self-arming of the alarm in the event an employee forgets to arm the system.  Most of our latest panels have this capability, but some older panels do not.  If your alarm doesn't have this feature and it is something you are interested in, call us today to discuss the possibility to upgrade your existing panel.

Beware of Bundling Services

Some Internet/phone and cable companies are now offering bundle packages that include an alarm. There are many reasons why bundling isn't good. For one, companies tend to want to sell bundling to customers so you'll be reluctant to switch because you have all your services looped together, even if you're unhappy with the company. In addition, these companies do not specialize in alarms so they cannot offer solid technical support, product diversity, as well as reliability to your alarm. Security is an important thing, and bundling it with a one stop shop that doesn't specialize in security is something to truly be cautious about. Changing Your Telephone Service Provider?

In most cases, your alarm system is designed to work with your telephone line. It's connected in a special way to transmit alarm signals without interference using your main phone line. If this connection is disturbed, alarm signals may not be reported to the central station. Alarm systems may not work or may not be as reliable with some VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) cable telephone service providers

Before making any changes to your phone system it's important to let your telephone provider know that you have a monitored alarm, and call us so we can confirm if it's a reliable source for communication. Test the alarm before your phone tech leaves to ensure your alarm is communicating with our central station.

Another option - keep your traditional landline phone but reduce your service to receiving calls only. This can significantly reduce your phone bill and you can be assured that your alarm will continue to communicate. If you have any questions, call our service department at 1-888-595-6003.
