Lunch & Learn
Keys to Understanding Executive Function
Do these statements sound familiar: I’ve worked with my child. She is organized. He has his math in the blue folder. She does write down most of her assignments. BUT… things are still not going well at school. She is not acting on what I’m sure she knows. He has such a hard time starting work. Prioritizing and problem solving are so hard.
Please join us Friday, November 4 from 11:30am-12:30pm in the science lab (downstairs) as we learn about executive function and the role it plays in our children’s success at school. Our speaker is Dr. Pat Goodyear from Behavioral and Learning Potentials. She will help us with a definition of executive function. She will also talk to us about ways to promote the development of executive function in our children. We’re looking forward to learning together! If you would like to bring your lunch, that is fine! I will provide water and small snacks! If you have questions, please contact Patti Rushing, School Counselor, here.
Save the Date - PTA Meeting
