Congratulations to Augusta Circle students! The SC Ready test scores show that they met their ELA achievement goal. From the spring 2016 test to the spring 2017 test, the percentage of students Meeting/Exceeding expectations in ELA increased 5% from 73.5% to 78%. The SC Ready test scores also show that they met their Math achievement goal. The percentage of students Meeting/Exceeding expectations in math increased 3% from 75.5% to 78%. We are so proud of all our students. Intentional instruction and hard work are paying off in a big way.
Carolina vs. Clemson canned food drive is back!
Please bring canned food to school  Monday, November 20  and  Tuesday, November 21 , and place it in the box of the team you support. The team with the most cans wins. Results will be announced on Tuesday afternoon! Which team will win? 

The real winners are the families who will have Thanksgiving Dinner because of your generous donations! United Ministries will distribute this food to help with their community outreach program. Be on the lookout for a flyer coming home with your child soon! Let's give generously this holiday season! 
Just a reminder that  Thanksgiving Break  begins NEXT Wednesday, November 22. School resumes on Monday, November 27.  We hope you all enjoy Thanksgiving with your families this week.

Housewise/Streetwise - November 21
Housewise/Streetwise is a program designed to help third grade students expand their understanding of how safe helpers add to their support system. Please take a moment to talk with your child about the important safety lessons learned throughout the day.
Lego Robotics are coming to Augusta Circle!
Roper Mountain Science Center will offer LEGO EV3 Robotics to students in grades 4-5 and Beginner LEGO WeDo Robotics to students in grades 2-3. Classes will take place after school in the library Feb. 26 and March 5, 12, and 19. Please look for a flyer in your child's folder on Monday or Tuesday.
Come out to Zoe's on Augusta this Thursday, November 16 anytime from 4pm-9pm for our next Spirit Night! Also, looking ahead to next month, The Common Cure will be hosting an ACE Spirit Night on Tuesday, December 5 from 5pm-8pm.

Come eat with your ACE friends and families while a portion of each night's proceeds will be donated to the Augusta Circle PTA.

Thank you for a smooth first nine weeks of school. We are off to a great start with our secure entrance, our intentional infusion of technology in the curriculum, and our focus on academics.
