Raise Craze is Coming Soon!

We kick off with our Pep Rally September 23

If you're cleaning out closets for Fall, save these items!   Throughout Raise Craze, we will be collecting GENTLY used and NEW rolling suitcases, duffel bags and backpacks for the Carry On program at for Fostering Great Ideas.  We'll be collecting GENTLY used children's and adult books for Greenville Literacy Association, and collecting food items for Upstate Backpack Blessings (a list of items will be provided in your Raise Craze packet when we kick off).

Also, if you, your child, or a sibling is planning to donate your hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths at Fall Family Night, please return the reservation form by September 16.   All hair must be chemical and dye free, and you must be able to donate 8 inches or more!

The 2016-2017 Reflections Arts Program is under way!

This year's theme is "What Is Your Story?"  Students have the opportunity to express this theme through their original works in the categories of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Visual Arts, Music Composition, Literature, or Photography.

Students are encouraged to enter multiple submissions in as many categories as they choose.  Look for submission forms in this week's class folders or find extras here.  Looking for inspiration or ideas for how to express the Reflections theme?  Take a look at last year's state level winners.  Submission deadline is October 7.  If you have any questions, please contact Danice Meunier HERE.

Spirit Day!

Join us THIS THURSDAY, September 15 for a Spirit Day at Sidewall Pizza on Cleveland Street.

Grab your family and friends and head to Sidewall Pizza anytime between 11:00am - 9:00pm to eat and enjoy time with your ACE friends.  Encourage your friends and family to enjoy lunch or dinner there. You can even get your pizza to-go!  Sidewall is creating an ice cream flavor to honor Augusta Circle!

A portion of the day's proceeds will be donated to our PTA.

'Eat RIGHT For Breakfast'

According to Dr. Ann G. Kulze's, 'Dr. Ann's Eat Right for Life: Cookbook Companion', a healthy breakfast is the most important ingredient to an energized and productive day.  Many traditional breakfast foods are among the most wholesome and nutrient dense choices available. Start your (and your family's) day off right by taking advantage of these foods. Make sure to choose at least one healthy protein, fresh produce, and a whole grain to make breakfast complete.

There are so many quick and easy options to start your day: Steel Cut Oatmeal with fresh berries, Veggie Omelet with a vegetable of your choosing, Smoothies with fruit, yogurt, and a handful of spinach, and Whole-grain cereals with fresh fruit, are just a few to help you get started.

Health Reminders
  • Please remember to send in your Student Emergency Forms with up-to-date contact information, if you have not already done so.  This helps ensure the School Nurse can reach you in the event of a sick child or an emergency.  Please remember to notify Daisy Durham if your contact information should change during the school year.
  • Mass Hearing and Vision screenings will be held between now and the end of October.  If your child has been prescribed glasses, please ensure they are wearing them to school each day and have them the day of the screening.
  • It is almost Flu season, so please plan to get everyone in your family a flu shot.  This is the best way to protect your child from getting the flu, as well as, protecting the rest of the students and staff.
