A new report suggests investment activity in airport construction and expansion remains high in fast-growing regions of Asia-Pacific and the Middle East and Africa despite general sluggishness in the global economy.

2.7 million commercial drones by 2020: FAA
The United States' Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) predicts a sustained increase in the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). In its latest annual Aerospace Forecast Report covering the 2016 - 2036 period, the FAA estimates small, hobby UAS purchases may grow from 1.9 million in 2016 to as many as 4.3 million by 2020.

Luxury hotel chain Yotel is to open an in-terminal hotel at Charles de Gaulle airport. Opening on July 1, the hotel is aimed at travellers catching early flights or a layover and can be booked by the hour.
