Aviation industry preparing for 'eleventh hour' deal on emission trading
An agreement on curbing emissions from international flights will be reached at the ICAO general assembly this autumn, according to industry sources, while biofuels continue to struggle to emerge as a long-term solution for greening the sector.

WOW Air adds four new A321's to its growing fleet
Icelandic low-cost airline,

, has today signed an agreement with Airbus for the purchase of four new A321 aircraft, the first direct sale to the airline from the aircraft manufacturer.

Qatar Airways takes £600m stake in LATAM Airlines
Qatar Airways is taking a 10% stake in South American airline group LATAM Airlines for more than $600 million.
The move comes two months after the Gulf carrier raised its stake in British Airways parent International Airlines Group to more than 15%.

Solar Impulse: Zero-fuel plane lands in Cairo
The Sun-powered aircraft Solar Impulse has finished its penultimate flight, landing in Egypt's capital, Cairo.
It took off from the Spanish city of Seville at 04:20 GMT on Monday, taking just over 48 hours to make the trip.
