  Field Trip and Summer Social

Tuesday, July 12
 7:00 - 8:30pm

Meet at Stephenson School
2627 SW Stephenson St.

You're invited!

The Arnold Creek Neighborhood Association is on summer break so we are not having an official meeting in July but we would like to invite you to join your neighbors for a fun and enlightening (we hope!) casual neighborhood field trip instead.

So no agenda, no minutes, no business and no reports... Suitable for the whole family!

Just turn up at the west side of Stephenson School at 7pm.  We will take a look at the school garden (weed ID on offer from an expert) and the BEECN box (and you will find out where this box is stashed and what this mysterious object is for), and then Sharon Keast will guide us through the Oak Creek natural area to observe progress of restoration efforts by Oak Creek neighbors and Tryon Creek Watershed Council (native plant ID on offer).  When we return from the wilds to civilization we will take a short loop through the nearby neighbohood looking at a recent street repair, a new sidewalk, some trees in trouble, and some unusual drainage facilities. Liz Marantz will show off her vegetable garden and you are invited to stay awhile and relax by her pool (not the swimming kind) and have a cold drink on a hot-maybe?-July evening.  Then the tour loops back to the school via 25th street.

So lot's to see but the distance is quite short.  Dress for the weather and wear lace up shoes which will be better than summer sandals when venturing into the wild wood.

Hope to see you there!

Tyron Creek Watershed Council supports landowners living near a creek in removing invasive plants, reducing erosion and planting native trees and shrubs. See what your neighbors are doing to improve the health of the watershed and livability of Arnold Creek.

Connect, share ideas and discover your neighborhood. Join us!

All neighbors are invited.

Neighborhood Street Sign Caps Project

Your donation will raise funds to install decorative Street Sign Caps in our neighborhood and purchase yard signs as a method of notifying community members of when and where neighborhood meetings will be held.
