This is not a drill!  It has been widely reported in DC media that t here is a meeting scheduled at the White House for Monday morning, with a proposed outcome that would cripple the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and pull corn prices down with it. The Trump Administration needs to hear from Kentucky farmers!

There is a pending proposal being floated within the White House to cap the price of Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs). RINs are the market mechanism that drives biofuels blending. According to research from three trusted land grant universities released just this week, this proposal would harm the corn industry. Iowa State, for instance, analyzed
any price cap or waiver for RINs would cost corn farmers 25 cents per bushel.

Tell the Administration not to cap our future  and to remember the promises that were made on the campaign trail to upload a robust renewable fuels industry for farmers just like you!

Additionally, call USDA at (202) 720-2791 and press option 2, when someone answers, or in a voice mail, say this:

"Regarding Monday's White House meeting on the RFS, I need the USDA and Secretary Perdue to oppose any RINs cap or waiver. RINs are a vital part of the RFS and it supports demand for corn ethanol. My family and my farm depend on corn demand including that from the ethanol industry. My family and my farm depend on the RFS, and a cap on RINs compromises the RFS. It would lower corn prices by 25 cents per bushel and I cannot afford that loss."

NOTE: **For spoken clarity, RINs rhymes with wins**
