Earth Day is Saturday, April 22! Are you looking for ways to take action to protect our environment?
The League has been a leader in efforts to preserve and defend the environment for decades, and that work is needed now more than ever. Threats to defund federal agencies charged with protecting our environment and the urgency of issues like climate change demand action.

The Ohio General Assembly is once again trying to extinguish renewable energy benchmarks. In December, LWVO and allies called on Governor Kasich to veto a bill passed to gut renewable energy requirements. Despite the Governor's veto just a few months ago, another attempt to weaken and roll back Ohio's clean energy standards, House Bill 114, passed the House and was introduced in the Senate earlier this month. Please call your Senator's office and tell them to oppose any attempts to inhibit renewable energy development. Find your Senator and their contact information here.
