Become a "citizen scientist" and take part in these unique opportunities to restore the Florida Keys reefs by joining the Coral Restoration Foundation, a nonprofit organization, to help plant these extraordinary habitats.

What's involved?

You'll begin your morning at 9:30am at the Coral Restoration Foundation headquarters where you will spend 2 hours learning the benefits of coral planting, reef restoration, and how YOU will plant the corals. As the Coral Restoration Foundation is a nonprofit organization they do kindly ask for a $50 donation for anyone wishing to participate in this unique opportunity.

After the seminar, you will reconvene at Amoray Dive Resort by 12:30pm for the afternoon boat charter. You will depart at 1:00pm to begin your underwater adventure. The first dive site is to a coral nursery where you will harvest young corals to be planted at your second site.

At the second dive site, you will plant the corals you just harvested on to a reef that is currently being restored. You may even notice previous year's planted corals!

With every coral planted, you are helping rebuild these sanctuaries for years to come. Amoray Dive Resort and the Coral Restoration Foundation would like to thank every participant and their contributions to this wonderful cause.
