AEROFLEX INC. and Cassidian, an EADS company, announced the successful installation of a major new RF expansion module at All Nippon Airways for the Cassidian ATEC Series 6 automated test equipment for RF avionics testing.

 

ASPEN AVIONICS and WESTERN AVIONICS announced the Transport Canada approval for installation of Aspen's H-series primary flight displays and multi-function flight displays into the Robinson R44 and R44 II model helicopters.

 

CARPENTER AVIONICS appointed JOHN DENDEKKER as general manager. Dendekker's avionics experience encompasses more than 30 years in sales, marketing and management.

 

COMLUX AVIATION SERVICES LLC,  The Aviation Group announced the appointment of DON SALISBURY as the director of maintenance. 

 

LANDMARK AVIATION named STEVE BOWLIN general manager of its Cincinnati Municipal Airport-Lunken Field location. Bowlin comes to Landmark with more than 20 years of experience in the general aviation industry.

First Six Months of Year Prove Difficult For GA Manufacturers

 

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association released the shipment and billing figures for the first six months of 2011. Total general aviation airplane shipments worldwide fell 15.5 percent, from 936 in 2010 to 791 in 2011. Billings for general aviation airplanes totaled $7.3 billion, a 22.3 percent decrease. More...
