Were you hoping to travel to the 2017 AFP International Conference in San Francisco (April 30 - May 2, 2017), but could use some help getting to the city by the bay? There's still time to apply for the Chamberlin Scholarship and John Saunders Scholarship! These scholarships are open to AFP VI members who have yet to attend an AFP International Conference.
AFP VI also has a scholarship available for the Fundamentals of Fundraising Course taking place next spring, as well as Professional Development Scholarships to fund the educational opportunities that you feel will benefit you the most.
We have a brand new opportunity for fundraisers who are new to the profession! Recipients of the Young Professional Membership Scholarships receive a free year-long membership. One scholarship will be for a fundraiser located in Greater Victoria and another for the Mid to North Island. If you know someone who would benefit from being an AFP VI member, please encourage them to apply!
Please send your completed scholarship or membership scholarship application form to Caitlin Pierce, Scholarships Chair, at [email protected]. The deadline is September 23, 2016

November 21-23 AFP Congress 2016, Toronto
Wherever you stand in your organization, this year's Congress promises to provide you the perspective and knowledge you need to lead meaningful transformation for your cause and your career.
Founded in 1964, the Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM) has earned an outstanding reputation of quality in education, performance and music therapy.
As a music school for the whole community, the VCM welcomes students of all ages and musical abilities, and teaches in all musical genres including classical, contemporary and music technology.
The Oldman Watershed Council (OWC) is a community-based, not-for-profit that works with everyone to find practical solutions to environmental challenges that impact us all. It takes time and effort to work collaboratively but OWC is building a new way of managing our water and land where we all do our part, work together and think long term.
Homelessness touches many lives at a significant cost to communities. The Victoria Cool Aid Society has been a key player in the work to end homelessness in the Capital Region for decades and, with the help of our stakeholders and staff, is developing 360 more apartments for people who are currently homeless.
