The course will provide a broad survey of the principle fire and life safety related changes proposed in the 2014 Indiana Building Code versus similar provisions in the currently adopted 2008 Indiana Building Code, primarily as they relate to architectural building design. The changes covered will include the model International Building Code changes in the 2009 and 2012 code change cycles, as well as those occurring within the proposed Indiana amendments. The course will cover relevant material in Chapters 1-31 of the building, including a cursory review of changes in Chapter 11 concerning accessibility.
