AIA Indiana Highlights at the AIA National Convention, which was held May 17-19 in Washington, DC.
The opening keynote address was given by David McCullough, Pulitzer Prize-Winning author, regarding architecture's debt to history.

AIA Indiana School Building Safety Task Force - Volunteers Needed - In light of the destruction caused by the recent tornados in southern Indiana, AIA Indiana has formed the AIA Indiana School Building Safety Task Force. This task force is charged with creating a list of "best practices" regarding school building safety that will be shared with the Indiana Department of Education. Wendell Adams, AIA - Fanning Howey, is the task force chair. Please contact jshelley@aiaindiana.org if you would like to participate on the task force. The first meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, at the AIA Indiana/AIA Indianapolis Office, 201 N. Illinois St., Suite 1410, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
