AIA Indianapolis Challenges Members to Ride a Bus to Work During Architecture Week - National Architecture Week is April 8-14. In honor of this week, AIA Indianapolis is presenting a challenge to you.
First, please join AIA Indianapolis at the free symposium, "What is Architectural Design Excellence," from 1p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 12 at the Indiana University Center for Art + Design, 310 Jackson St., Columbus, IN 47201. CLICK HERE for more information.
Second, if you haven't used public transportation in Indianapolis lately, then, give it a try. Whether it's IndyGo or one of the commuter IndyExpress buses. We all know that public transportation, including a mass transit system is crucial for the growth and future of Indianapolis. Instead of talking about the need for it, let's show our support for public transportation by giving the bus a try. Jason Shelley, AIA Indianapolis executive director, discovered there are more benefits than just saving gas money when he hops on IndyGo to get from his house on the near north side to his office downtown. So, catch the bus, and then report back what you think tojshelley@aiaindiana.org. Your comments will be posted online at www.aiaindychapter.org. It's just one more way we can take a leadership role in our communities.
Lastly, CLICK HERE to learn about more ways you can take part in National Architecture Week.
