The changes covered will include the model International Building Code changes in the 2009 and 2012 code change cycles, as well as those occurring within the proposed Indiana amendments. The course will cover relevant material in Chapters 1-31 of the building code, including a cursory review of changes in Chapter 11 concerning accessibility.

In Memoriam - Gilbert K. Jacobs, 86, former senior principal of Odle McGuire Shook and The McGuire Shook Corporation passed away on December 7, 2014 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Wanda and Gil have lived in Fort Myers, Florida for a number of years after his retirement from OMS.
Gil was one of a kind - in a good way! With Gil, there was never any way to perfection without hard work and attention to detail. In a meeting, he could be a lamb or lion depending on the situation. He had quite the ability to sketch and work out details; his perspective pencil sketches for clients are just amazing works of art. He had a funny sense of humor. Though you never wanted to see that scowl of his, looking over his glasses, wondering if you knew what you were doing - only to commend you that you figured out a good way to solve the problem. I have and will always have deep admiration for what he taught me about architecture.
Submitted by: Gerard J. Skibinski, AIA, Principal / Project Manager / Architect, Odle McGuire Shook
