Call for Presentations - 2014 AIA Indiana/AIA Kentucky Convention
The Call for Presentations is open for the 2014 AIA Indiana/AIA Kentucky Convention, taking place October 2-4, 2014 in Fort Wayne, IN. "Renewal.Innovation.Engagement" is the theme of this year's event, which will attract over 200 architects from Kentucky and Indiana. You have knowledge to share and best practices that others need to learn - use this opportunity to put yourself and your firm out in front of your peers. If selected, you'll have a great experience, and earn complimentary Convention Registration for the day you present. Proposals must be submitted using our online form by May 16 so don't delay! Following a modest two-month recovery in the level of demand for design services, the Architecture Billings Index (ABI) again turned negative. The March ABI score was 48.8, down sharply from a mark of 50.7 in February. (any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings).

2014 Indiana Building Code, 2014 Indiana Mechanical Code, 2014 Indiana Fire Code, and 2014 Indiana Fuel Gas Code Proposed Rules and Public Hearing Notices
New 2014 codes have been published as proposed rules by the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission. They are expected to become effective in the early fall of this year. The Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission will be holding hearings on the proposed rules May 22, 2014, at the Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Conference Center Rooms 1 and 2. The new 2014 Indiana Building Code has been published as a proposed rule by the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission, and is expected to become effective in the early fall of this year. The new building code will adopt by reference the 2012 International Building Code (IBC), and include Indiana amendments.
