SAVE the DATE - Wednesday, June 6 - AIA Indianapolis Chapter Program featuring Marlon Blackwell, FAIA, Marlon Blackwell Architect, who will be discussing his design of the Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which won a 2012 AIA National Honor Award for Architecture. The program will be held at the Indianapolis Museum of Art's Toby Theatre.

AIA Indiana Involvement on the Indiana Building Code Review Committee - The Indiana Department of Fire and Building Safety is executing a committee-based review of the Building Code, Fire Code, Mechanical Code, and Electrical Code. AIA Indiana is proud to be voting member on Building Code Review Committee. The committee meets once every month. The review process should conclude by the end of the year. Through this process, Indiana will review and amend the 2012 International Building Code before adopting it as the new state building code. If you would like to support AIA Indiana's involvement in this review process, please contact jshelley@aiaindiana.org or call 317-634-6993.

AIA Indiana School Building Safety Task Force - Volunteers Needed - In light of the destruction caused by the recent tornados in southern Indiana, AIA Indiana has formed the AIA Indiana School Building Safety Task Force. This task force is charged with creating a list of "best practices" regarding school building safety that will be shared with the Indiana Department of Education. Wendell Adams, AIA - Fanning Howey, is the task force chair. Please contact jshelley@aiaindiana.org if you would like to participate on the task force. The first meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, at the AIA Indiana/AIA Indianapolis Office, 201 N. Illinois St., Suite 1410, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
