Sometimes it's what you know, and sometimes it's WHO you know. If YOU know any eligible Kentucky high school seniors, then be sure to tell them about the amazing opportunity available to them through the Big Ass Scholars program.

Winners will receive a full-time, $5,000 internship at Big Ass Fans the summer after graduation, PLUS $5,000 in scholarship money. Interested? Click here to learn more.
HOUZZ University - Postponed
Schedule conflicts resulted in fewer registrants than anticipated for HOUZZ University. Therefore, this program has been postponed until a date in early 2016 when we can accommodate a higher turnout for the workshop. Thanks very much to all who had signed up and/or expressed interest in this exciting opportunity. Please stay tuned!

The Last Word
Exciting changes will be taking place throughout AIA Kentucky in 2016! At our annual planning meeting last month, the state chapter and three local components defined new ways to support and collaborate with each other, in order to provide our members with the highest level of service in the most efficient manner possible. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteer leaders and staff, I am confident that we will continue to deliver outstanding member value.

As 2015 comes to a close, I want to extend my personal thanks to Charles Cash, AIA for his outstanding leadership of AIA Kentucky throughout this year. None of us knew that 2015 would be a year of such serious self-examination - and such tremendous opportunities for growth and change - throughout AIA. Charles has steered the AIA Kentucky ship with both determination and good humor, which makes my job that much more enjoyable. Thank you, Charles!

My very best wishes that you may enjoy the blessings of family and friends in this season. Happy Holidays, and here's to a Safe and Prosperous New Year!
Janet D. Pike, Hon. AIA
Executive Vice President
