Happy Monday!

And Happy Fourth of July! I hope you were all able to celebrate this weekend with your family and friends and remember those who fought and sacrificed to give us the freedom we enjoy today and every day.

We have much more to celebrate this summer, including some great AIA Michigan events! Don't forget that today is the registration deadline for the Mid Summer Conference! Come for the reunion celebrations in idyllic surroundings, for the family activities or for the continuing education, just make sure to register today! I look forward to greeting you on the front porch of the Grand Hotel.

Registration is now open for the Green Health Summit and space is limited so please register as soon as possible. I want all AIA Michigan members to have the first opportunity to register-- don't get left out!

We are excited for the Tigers Tailgate on September 12th! We have opened registration and the flyer is below for more information. Join us for a delicious tailgate feast at the DAC followed by a great game against the Cleveland Indians!

I will close this week's message with a reminder that the Speakers Bureau has announced a relaunch of their program. If you are passionate about architecture and want to get the word out to the public about your niche, historical interest, or any other compelling architectural topic, visit the Speakers Bureau webpage to submit your presentation or idea!

Have a great week and remember to contact me anytime with your ideas or if you would like to join a committee!

AIAMI/MAF Speakers Bureau: Call for Presentations
AIA Michigan and the MAF want to get the word out about the benefits architects provide to their communities. To accomplish this we are gathering passionate speakers to create the Speakers Bureau which, in conjunction with our local chapters, will bring exciting, informative presentations to organizations around the state. This is a great opportunity for our members to raise awareness about their firm's work and their passion while advocating for the architectural profession.

Applications are being accepted until October 31, 2014 for the 2015 program. If you are a member in good standing and would like to join the Speakers Bureau, please review the Call for Presentations and the Speaker Questionnaire

Please visit the Speakers Bureau webpage and if you have any questions, contact the Speakers Bureau Task Force:
