Happy November!

The weather is getting colder and snow has arrived in Northern Michigan.  Are you ready for winter yet?  Think spring and register for the AIA National Convention hotel room, (May 14-16) in Atlanta using the AIA Michigan room block! The AIA Michigan hotel choice for the Convention is the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. AIAMI Special Meeting will be November 17th at 6:00 pm at Weber's Restaurant and Boutique Hotel, Ann Arbor. Click Here for Full Announcement

 

The Markitect Seminar scheduled for November 6th with AIAMI and SMPS is currently full with a wait list and will not be accepting any others on the wait list. However, due to popular demand we will keep this list and look into repeating this seminar at a later date.

 

The next ARE Seminar is scheduled for November 8, 2014 from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. We will be discussing Mechanical and Electrical Systems. Breakfast and Lunch is included in the cost.

 

The Michigan Advanced Lighting Conference is scheduled for November 19, 2014 from 8:00a.m to 6:00p.m. Explore, evaluate and educate yourself on the latest technology, products and services in advanced lighting and controls!

 

Lastly, please remember that December 11, 2014 is the AIA Michigan Board Transition Meeting followed by the Holiday Open House from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.  Please mark your calendars for this event!

AIA Licensed Architects and Associate members may request an absentee ballot from the date of this announcement (10/24/2014) up to a week before the Annual Meeting (11/5/2014). Ballots can be requested by contacting Lauren Myrand at [email protected]

Absentee ballots must be submitted by close of business day, November 12th.

AIAHV 50th Anniversary Gala & Exhibit Opening

Ann Arbor Art Center

Join us for a gala event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Huron Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the buildings that helped shape our community!

The event will feature the grand opening of the exhibit, "50 Ideas for the Future," showcasing community-inspired designs for the future by local architects. Light food and beverages will be provided.
