Understanding CCT & Color Metrics for Lighting

Attendees will hear one hour of HSW credit.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand correlated color temperature (CCT) and its effects on human perception.
  • Understand the importance of good color rendering and how it effects what we see as light reflects the object.
  • Understand shortcoming of CRI and other color metrics.
  • Background, evolution and rationale behind TM-30. How to interpret TM-30 when picking a light source that best suites the application.

It's time for the annual OKLAHOMANMADE Architectural Photography Competition!

The deadline for forms and fees is February 27 and the final submission is due on March 17.

KIDesign Volunteers Needed!
KIDesign                   
KIDesign is an introduction to architecture and design in the world around us. 1st through 6th grade children will participate in various activities as they learn, create, and design their own projects with members of the local architectural community. KIDesign is held each April during Architecture Week.  This year's program will be held on Saturday, April 22. 

We're looking for volunteers to help develop the curriculum and teach the program on April 22.  If you are interested in helping with this year's event, please email to [email protected]. 
Scholarship Opportunity for OU & OSU Architecture Students                   
                   
The Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture awards two scholarships annually - one each worth $1,000 to a professional degree-track student at The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.

1. Students must be enrolled and working toward an NAAB accredited BArch or MArch degree at OU or OSU.

2. Students must be enrolled in at least the third year of a BArch program.

Completed applications (including all attachments) must be sent via Dropbox no later than March 24, 2016

 Studies have shown that only 20-30% of a presented message is memorable!  Learn how to make your message more effective. Join highly rated international speaker and communications consultant, Anthony Huey, to learn tips on how to make your presentations memorable.  
 
  You will spend one hour learning how to stand up, stand out, and stand apart.

The second hour will be learning how to respond to any question...from anyone.

  • Respond to difficult questions
     
This AGC Educational Seminar is offered for $95 per attendee. Registration will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 27th. You will be invoiced for non-cancelled reservations. Cancellations must be made by 5 p.m. on the 27th by email to [email protected].
