TIA JONES- TRACK & FIELD

Walton freshman sets national record

Walton freshman Tia J ones hurdled her way to history Saturday afternoon, racing to a national high school record of 12.84 in her 100-meter hurdles heat. Jones's time is a world junior record and the fastest time ever recorded by a youth athlete. The time goes down as both a new U.S. high school record and a junior championship record. Jones punched her ticket to Poland in the final.
