Raising Awareness of Ada's Water Advantages at WEFTEC
Joe Willliams, Deputy National Program Director for the EPA at Kerr Labs, and Jim Eldridge with the Ada Jobs Foundation attended WEFTEC
The Ada Jobs Foundation recently attended the Water Environment Foundation's Annual Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) to raise awareness of Ada's water advantages by speaking to companies who may be interested in expanding or relocating.

WEFTEC is focused on water quality technology, manufacturers, and professional services and showcases water sector innovation from around the world.  By attending WEFTEC and learning more about the landscape of water technology AJF has the opportunity to help local entrepreneurs understand what current companies are doing in this sector and trends to connect private companies with public and community resources.

Jaylea Thompson Wins August #myAda Contest
C ongratulations to the August #myAda photo/video contest winner, Jaylea Thompson.

Jaylea shared what #myAda means to her, "Ada helped make me into the person I am today! I was born in Ada, I like to think I took a piece of it with me over the years. After high school graduation, I returned for college and couldn't get myself to leave! Ada is the town that truly molded me into an adult and I wouldn't want it any other way. Ada allows me the comfort to walk into any business and see friends. You wouldn't get that same experience in a bigger city!"

"Ada's events are for residents, students, and draw visitors from out of town.  Jaylea did a great job capturing the atmosphere at AdaFest!" stated Michael Southard, President of the Ada Jobs Foundation, "We encourage the community to continue posting pictures of what Ada means to them and tagging with #myAda.

The contest is open to people who post photos or videos of activities around town on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Instagram and tag them #myAda. Entries must be publicly posted by the first of each month and will be judged on a variety of subjective factors, including their creativity and positive attitude toward the community. The best entry each month will win $50, and images may be used in future promotions.
