Good Morning Members!

Our Chapter is very excited about this year's project which will really warm your heart.  GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND http://www.guidedogs.com/ is an exceptional organization that genuinely embraces the idea of unconditional love.  GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization (tax ID 94-1196195 W9). Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Each puppy is raised with the love and support from volunteers who open their homes and hearts for this beautiful cause. These volunteers are warm, caring individuals raise these smart puppies so that they may enrich and transform the life of someone who would otherwise be strapped from participating in normal, everyday activities. This has a tremendous impact on the individuals they serve and the community as a whole. All donors, partners, and volunteers can be confident that their support is making a difference.

This organization really hits home to me as I have personally observed the amazing work of which they are capable. These are PUPPIES WITH A PURPOSE!  I have seen first-hand the love and amazing bond that exists between "handler" and puppy. This is truly a special project. This organization creates exceptional partnerships between highly trained guide dogs and people who are visually impaired, inclusive of all genders, ages, races, religions, and socio-economic levels -- embracing our Chapter's diversity initiative

I also personally admire this organization because it does not receive any government funding. It runs solely through donations of time, lov
e and of course money. This is one of those projects that is easy to get behind
because there is no hidden agenda, no politics, no big salaries within their leadership ... nothing but a driving force to give back and help those in need.

Our Chapter understands that there are so many ways we can go out into the community and put our money to good use. This year, as Community Connection Chair, I am asking each of you to open your hearts (and your checkbooks J ) to raise money for this superior group.

Our goal this year is to raise $25,000!  To help us reach this goal, we are asking for a minimum donation of $100.00.  If you are able to participate at a higher le
vel, we would be forever grateful.  For those of you who are able to donate $500 or more, we will arrange for guide dog puppies to come to your office, so that your employees can meet the handlers, and enjoy some puppy love - what a fun break from everyday work for your whole office!! Gifts of $1,000 or more will be recognized on the Puppy Center Donor Wall within the Guide Dogs for the Blind organization.

I hope you will join me and the Chapter in supporting the work of this amazing organization!  Please mail your donations directly to me at my office address below. Checks can be made payable to GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND, or if you would like to participate by credit card, please let me know and I will forward a credit card authorization to you!  GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND will provide each of you with an acknowledgement of your most needed donation.

My most heartfelt thank you to all of you!
