Dedicated to the development of the future stewards of U.S.-China relations
同志 , the American Mandarin Society  needs your help today
Through the generous assistance of volunteers and funding from the Ford Foundation and the Starr Foundation, AMS has grown to become one of the most important institutions for developing the future stewards of U.S.-China relationship.

Since our founding in 2011, we have:
  • Held over 50 public events in Chinese;
  • Produced more than 80 issues of our weekly newsletter;
  • Created the groundbreaking China Syllabi Project learning guides;
  • Built a robust website full of language learning tools and resources;
  • Led our annual Fellows Program leading talented mid-career professionals to China to experience a "deep dive" into Chinese decision-making and training processes;
  • Built opportunities for Chinese-speaking Americans to build bridges with their Chinese-speaking peers in other countries, including Japan.
We continue to provide our products and services without requiring membership fees.  But as an IRS 501c3 non-profit organization, we need to demonstrate that enough people value our services by showing it through their contributions. The all-important IRS "public support test" looks not only at total amount raised, but more importantly the total number of individual donations
We are asking you to support us now with a donation of whatever you can:  $10, $25, $50, $100 - anything and everything helps. If we can get enough people to contribute today then we will only send this email once a year. This will take less than two minutes of your time, but makes a world of difference to us.  Please make your tax-deductible donation now!
非常感

Sincerely,

Nathaniel Ahrens 安耐德
Executive Director

*Donations $50 or larger will receive an individual donation receipt; donations less than $50 can just be reported directly by you on your tax forms. We recommend that you retain your payment receipt for these purposes.
