Celebrating Multiculturalism Week in the Province
In celebration of Multiculturalism Week in Newfoundland and Labrador, the ANC hosted a Global Tour cultural showcase to celebrate the many countries represented by newcomers attending the ESL Training Centre. The event included historical and cultural information, art, traditional clothing, flags, and music. It also included the official launch of a video featuring young newcomers who discussed their experiences of living in a new community.
Let’s Talk Business Diversity, Bonavista!
The Association for New Canadians is holding a series of lunch-hour Business Diversity Roundtables across the province to explore the intersection of immigration, culture, and economic growth. Bringing together a broad cross-section of business leaders and community stakeholders, these events highlight the socioeconomic contributions of newcomers to the province. At the same time, they also serve to identify the opportunities and challenges of integrating newcomers into the workforce.

We're pleased to announce that our fourth Roundtable will be held in Bonavista and will focus on the ways that newcomers can enhance entrepreneurship in the region. The event will take place at the Garrick Theatre's upstairs Conference Room on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 12 noon until 1:30pm.
