2015 GGAHA SHOW UPDATE
The results are in, and our 57th Annual Show was a success by any measure.
All in all, we had:
Three days of great weather; A good turnout of spectators every day in the stands; and better food vendors with more choices and, great new shopping vendors, too.
88 exhibitors for the show.
22 Silver Belt Buckles were awarded. Along with two (2)
$500 Cash Prizes to a Pro-Am and Halter Class.
Wonderful Friday night Bar-B-Que sponsored by Jesse Saldana Training Center.
The Board wants to congratulate ARTURO SALDANA riding Jackson Jamaal SA++/ owned by Eryn McCauley for winning the Arabian Western Pleasure CH Founder's Perpetual Memorial Trophy so generously offered by Barbara Dwelly - a charter member of GGAHA in memory of her father, Vernon E. Dwelly.
The Board also wishes to congratulate ERYN McCAULEY and her horse, Jackson Jamaal SA++/ for winning the Arabian Western Pleasure CH AATR Memorial Trophy sponsored by Yvonne Bohan, Ted Draper and friends.
Lastly, The Board extends congratulations to HANNAH FELDMAN, youth member GGAHA on being awarded the Art Shepherd Memorial Belt Buckle in recognition for outstanding sportsmanship.
The success of our show was made possible by the hard work of everyone who made an extra effort this year to create an outstanding event and reach beyond the show ring for sponsorships.
Thanks to all and especially our show committee and volunteers. With a friendly exhibitor attitude and positive spirit of cooperation from the show office through the barns and by our wonderful judges, Richard Petty, main ring; Beverly Jovais, sport horse; Ann Byers USEF steward; Katie Taylor, learner judge; Nancy Goertzen, show secretary, her assistant, Ann; Ron Richards, in-gate and last but not least our GGAHA Show Manager, Pamm McCauley. With extra special thanks to Centerline Design Group (Lisa Lyons and George Cook) for producing our premium and show program and to George Cook, Centerline Photography for our show photos, Cheryl Stagnaro Photography and Karli Dannewitz who all contributed to the wonderful photos you will find below and on Flickr.
Because of the success of this show, we are not likely to wait till March 2016 to have our next event. We are now discussing a possible late summer/early fall event, and we welcome your ideas and your enthusiasm.
