Monument 10K
The Ukrop's Monument 10K race is run on historic Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia. Since its debut in 2000, the race has grown to be the fourth largest 10k in the country and the 22nd largest race of any distance. It has been named by USA Today as one of the 10 great road races in the United States. This year, record breaking attendance included over 19,000 registered runners. Whether you are a runner or supporter, everyone enjoys the huge festival before and after the race featuring live bands, giveaways and food. This year, our very own Chris McKee, President of Operations and Arista Lueck, Community Manager at Somerset Pointe traveled to participate in this historic event. They even brought their own cheerleaders, Stephanie Anderson and Marie Peace, to keep them motivated at the finish line. Congratulations to Chris and Arista for living our core values and setting a great example for our team.

NAA Capitol Conference
The 2014 National Apartment Association's Capitol Conference was held on March 12th in Washington D.C. Our very own Arista Lueck, Community Manager at Somerset Pointe and Holly Stubblefield, Community Manager at Shorehaven Apartments attended. During this event, Congress weighed in on issues that affect the apartment industry including housing finance reform, tax reform and many others. This annual event is also the largest lobbying day for the apartment industry and we were proud to have Arista and Holly represent our company.
