Week of August 6, 2018
The new school year is quickly approaching and it is our tradition at this time of the year to collect school supplies for students in the Greenville community to ensure that no child is left without.

Suggested items: loose leaf notebook paper, pencils, pocket folders, spiral notebooks, marble composition notebooks, 1-inch binders, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, crayons, glue sticks, ziploc bags, white copy paper, and backpacks.

The donated backpacks and supplies will be prayed over and blessed during our Blessing of the Backpacks moment in worship on August 12. All students, teachers, and educators are encouraged to bring their backpacks and school bags for this special time of blessing.
ARBC Church Hosts
At ARBC we believe that every time we gather we are not only seeking to encounter God in our community of faith, we are also communicating something about God. We worship the God who loves and welcomes all, and because we believe that Christ died for all people, all people are welcome with us. We also want everyone to understand our belief in Christian hospitality and how glad we are to have them with us from the moment they come onto our campus.

Starting this Sunday you will find a new set of volunteers at the doors around the church to make everyone feel welcome and safe. These ARBC Hosts will be present to greet those gathering for Bible study and Worship. They will take on the roles previously held by both the Ushers and Greeters, and you will recognize many of the same faces. These individuals will be on the front lines when it comes to offering the ministry of hospitality when we are together.

We are grateful to everyone who has served as an usher and greeter, especially to those who are continuing as ARBC Hosts. We are also grateful to Jared and Claire Sang who graciously took on the task of creatively rethinking the ways we offer hospitality and are leading this effort. Thank you to everyone who will serve as an ARBC Host, and to everyone who ensures our church maintains a welcoming atmosphere every time we get together.

This week's ARBC Hosts are:
Hank Sutherland - Family Life Center
Pat Sutherland - Child Care Host
Carroll Kirby - Sanctuary Host
Ann Kirby - Sanctuary Host
Judy Whitson - Sanctuary Host
Bruce McCarter - Sanctuary Host
