Lanham, MD - September 14, 2016 - North Carolina Railroad Company has committed a $50,000 USD Endowment to the AREMA Educational Foundation.
Scott M. Saylor, North Carolina Railroad Company President and James K. Kessler, AREMA's Director of the Passenger and Transit Functional Group and Vice President, Engineering and Planning with the North Carolina Railroad Company, presented this Endowment to the AREMA Educational Foundation. This Endowment, accepted by Brian A. Lindamood, AREMA Immediate Past President and Elizabeth S. Caruso, AREMA Executive Director & CEO, will provide a secure investment in the future of the railway industry. Through the income of this generous investment, a $1,000 annual scholarship will be awarded in perpetuity to an engineering student with an interest in railway engineering.
