How long have you been in business?
Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, Inc. started here in San Antonio in 1982 as commercial insulators and since have expanded our scopes to waterproofing, fireproofing, and firestopping in twelve cities and seven states from here to Atlanta, Georgia. We operated for 34-1/2 years independently and now merged families with Installed Building Products in 2017.

Why have you stayed loyal members of ASA?
We love the ASA because they advocate and support the subcontracting community. The ASA (especially Jennifer Swinney and Nora Romero) and all the board members and volunteers work hard to promote us every day, connect us with general contractors, and set up fun meaningful events just to connect. ASA provides so much information to help us avoid pitfalls and to meet the people with the answers. They also listen to our concerns and try to do something about them on every possible level.
What is your favorite ASA Event?
Alpha has lots of employees that stay involved so it is hard to pick one. Our original involvement began with Greg Wiatrek and the fishing tournament. We sponsor the Pour off and Texas Hold'em tournament every year. Ish Gonzalez likes the ASA Subfest BBQ, Paul Peltier and Gilbert Alvarez like when our industry comes together for the Excellence in Construction Awards, Joshua Campos likes any event with free beer, Matt McClain and Robert Moore enjoy the Golf Tournament.
