Gifts for the Women of Haiti
The Haiti mission team is seeking donations for our women’s gathering for our mission trip.
There is a display explaining the items needed (see image right) and boxes in the Fireside Room.
The Haiti Team is looking for 150 of the following:
Reusable grocery bags, M&M’s share size, adult tooth brushes, hotel-size soap, lotion, shampoo and travel-size deodorant, and 35 nice scarves-rectangular, (can be gently used). No infinity scarves please. Also needed are sewing supplies such as needles, new spools of thread, large hooks & eyes, and scissors.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
A Message from the Letty Owings Center Mission

Through a combination of a lovely couch donated by Marybeth and Ken Buck, money from the Giving Tree, a grant from the OSLC Foundation, money from the Mission Team budget and a grant from St. Luke’s Lutheran Foundation, the Letty Owings Center has three couches and 30 new mattresses.
The existing mattresses were lumpy with torn vinyl coverings – not good for people in recovery, especially pregnant women. They now have new memory foam mattresses and are very, very grateful. Nerissa Heller, the LOC Director, spoke at our Fellowship Forum recently and expressed much gratitude. She also brought a Thank You card with notes from the ladies.
Thank you so much. We are able to make a difference.
