CBRS Alliance Specifications
The CBRS Alliance has published network and coexistence specifications on its website , including definitions of how to deploy a private LTE network, a neutral host LTE network, or a hybrid of the two. Analyst Nick Marshall of ABI Research said the specifications will help usher in new business models like quad play for cable operators and private LTE networks for enterprises that can benefit from owning and operating their own LTE networks, such as large industrial and manufacturing operations. Of course mobile network operators hope to use CBRS to provide these private LTE networks to their customers, as well as to offload traffic from other spectrum bands and to provide fixed wireless internet service.
