Now in his third year of leading our Audition Prep and Drama programs at the Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation's Community Learning Center in Brooklyn, Taylor Valentine uses theatre to teach vital skills such as collaboration, focus, and commitment to students in grades 6-8. Taylor says "To be honest, this program is not just about performing. These kids don't really have extra-curricular guidance that puts their minds and creativity to the test, what we do is get them interested in something outside of their everyday activities, and in the process I teach the value of concentration, focus, energy and commitment." Join us on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00 p.m. as Taylor and his students present a full-length adaptation of Once On This Island in the IS 171 Auditorium in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn.
