KITCHENER BLUES FESTIVAL 2013 
| Rockin' Downtown All Weekend Long!!

Well, last night Steve Earle and The Dukes and Wide Mouth Mason kicked off this year's Kitchener Blues Festival to a packed Victoria Park crowd! 

 

A full weekend's worth of incredible Blues starts today at 1pm at the Downtown Kitchener BIA Stage (located in the Crabby Joe's Parking Lot)!

 

A little birdie told us a few of the MUST SEE acts for this weekend, hope you'll join us for a few of these:

 

Friday Aug 9

5 pm - Digging Roots, Clock Tower Stage

11 pm - Conor Gains Band, inside Crabby Joe's for Friday Night's 12 Bar Blues

 

Saturday Aug 10

1:45 pm The Sadies, Clock Tower Stage

5:30 pm Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer. Clocktower 

and/or head to the BIA Stage for 5:40 - Devin Cuddy Band

9:15 pm Big Sugar, Main Stage

  

Sunday Aug 11

12 noon - Jon Knight and SoulStack, Main Stage

3 pm Lighthouse, Main Stage

 

PLUS! ON SUNDAY AT 6:30 PM:

Great Lake Swimmers and Elliott Brood, BIA Stage, $20 ticket for this show, but it'll be worth it!

KING STREET ART MARKET  | Wednesday August 21, Noon-8pm

King Street Art Market
   

This month's King Street Art Market features more amazing local artisans and crafters, but it also has more stuff to check out:

 

KING STREET SLOW DANCE (7-8pm)

Join us for a high school style slow dance on King Street! Bring a partner, or just your dancing shoes - and groove to our band playing classic love songs. How romantic!

 

ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS (1-4pm)

We know, we know, it's mid-Aug and the kids are getting a bit restless. Bring them Downtown! We'll be making crafts, telling stories, playing with chalk and bubbles and have some snacks too! Stay tuned to the FB page for more details!


TRANSIT JAM, Art Installation (4:30-8pm)

Artist, Jefferson Campbell-Cooper will be installing a transit stop on King street complete with waiting area and ticket counter. Listen for transit announcements and service updates. Feel free to hang out in the waiting area, and mingle with fellow travellers.

The Hot Summer Pupusas Festival  - Saturday August 17 at Kitchener City Hall

Come out to try this delicious Salvadorian specialty!

 

KIDSPARK!!! - Sunday August 18, 11am-5pm in Victoria Park - it's FREE!

A full day of awesome for the kiddies! Crafts, music, art, entertainment, sports!

 

 

 

KOI MUSIC FESTIVAL  |  Who's Headlining in September??

  

We know it's still a few weeks away, but we wanted you to mark your calendar! 


TREBLE CHARGER will be kicking off KOI with a FREE SHOW on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13th!!!!!

Joining them will be local acts Courage My Love and Cobrahawks! 

You've gotta be here!!

 

On Saturday September 14th, KOI continues with ticketed shows featuring:

Classified, Bayside, Cute is What We Aim For, and Emmure. The Planet Smashers, The Wooden Sky, The Balconies, The Mahones and SO MANY MORE!
