ABSENCE: An Engaging Experience of Dementia Awareness
Candle Light Cove Assisted Living & Memory Care has teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as area businesses and organizations in an undertaking called “ABSENCE: An Engaging Experience of Dementia Awareness.” This series of events will take place October 16-20, 2017, and is designed to bring together education and the arts as an avenue to heighten awareness of Alzheimer’s and related dementias on the Eastern Shore, as well as advocate for additional monies to fund Alzheimer’s research and programs.

The ASST program is a workshop which utilizes props, individual and group activities and discussions to promote understanding, empathy and sensitivity to the sensory losses of the elderly.
