Acadia Center Expands Energy and Climate Outreach
In August, Acadia Center welcomed Tyler Soleau in the newly-created Energy and Climate Outreach Director role. Tyler will raise awareness and advance Acadia Center's clean energy initiatives in Massachusetts and throughout the Northeast. Read the press release here.

Defining Weatherization in Connecticut
At the end of August, Acadia Center submitted comments to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) about weatherization, arguing that it is a critical component of achieving an affordable clean energy future in Connecticut. DEEP has not approved a finalized definition of weatherization, and Acadia Center comments suggested ways to define weatherization effectively so it will reduce energy costs, increase energy independence and decrease carbon pollution, and allow Connecticut to achieve its goal of weatherizing 80% of residential units by 2030.

Looking Forward
  • On Friday September 11, the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative will announce the results of its latest auction. Acadia Center will be providing an analysis of the results. See past analysis here.
  • Acadia Center President Daniel Sosland will join a panel at the September 25 Restructuring Roundtable hosted by Raab Associates to discuss Massachusetts' utility grid modernization plans.
  • Following the success of its past Value of Solar studies, most recently in Vermont, Acadia Center is analyzing the value of solar in New Hampshire.
