March 28th- April 2nd, students and alumni were invited to attend the lectures by this stellar group of faculty.  Students in the MACP, GMATP and PhD programs were treated to Rosemarie Anderson on the second day of the seminar. Her talk was very well received.

OLGA LOUCHAKOVA-SCHWARTZ, M.D.,PH.D
Dr. Louchakova-Schwartz has been accepted to speak at the  Division 45 Research Conference (July 7-9, 2016). Her talk will be "Somatic Awareness and Symptomatology of Chronic and Multiple Immigrant Stress."

Olga has also had a busy March, presenting her paper on  "The Self in Migration (the Ulysses Syndrome) and Psychology's Moral Stance" at the annual Midwinter Meeting of the Society of Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology, Salt Lake City, Utah, March 11-13, 2016.

She also presented at the Humanistic Psychology conference and was well received  with the topic "Immigrants Living in Extreme Situations: Symptomatology of Chronic and Multiple Immigrant Stress (the Ulysses Syndrome)." Look for the abstract on this topic in an upcoming issue of the

Sofia U Core Faculty member, Dr. David Lukoff, presented with his co-leader, Michael Cornwall on Thursday, 3/17 at the Society for Humanistic Psychology Annual Conference at San Francisco State University.
DONNA DULO, JD.
Dr. Dulo has recently been accepted to the International Advisory Board of  the  " International Journal of Advanced Computer Research"
This journal has become a top international advanced computer science publication and Sofia University is listed prominently.

Earlier this year, Donna's article " Is it time to tighten drone regulations?" was featured in the Costco Connection.

MILICA ZEGARAC
Clinical psychology doctoral student Milica Zegarac, who is specializing in yoga psychotherapy for healing mood and trauma disorders, will be going to India on the 30th of March for advanced training.

Continuing her international travel, she will fly to Durban, South Africa to present a paper about transpersonal psychology in community setting at the Intl. Conference for Community Psychology.

Conference Scholarship Opportunity
Division 45 Research Conference Student Scholarship Information

Student Scholarships 
A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to graduate students to cover a portion of their conference registration and housing costs. These scholarships are intended to increase graduate student participation in both the preconference and conference.

What Does the
 Scholarship  Cover?  The scholarship covers registration fees, and can also be used to cover travel expenses.

Who is Eligible?  
All students who are currently enrolled in a psychology-related graduate program are eligible to apply. Accepting the scholarship commits the students to attending the entire preconference and conference. Although students are NOT required to be a presenter at the conference or a member of Division 45 to be eligible to receive the conference scholarship, those students who submit a proposal to present and who are members of the division will receive priority.

How to Apply?  
Students must complete and submit the on-line scholarship application form by  April 15th at 11:59pm   Eastern time.
