Project Spotlight: Wellesley High School 
Wellesley High School   
Designed by architects Symmes Maini McKee & Associates, the newly constructed Wellesley High School features a 700-seat multipurpose auditorium. Acentech | Studio A designed state-of-the-art video and sound systems to serve musical performances, video presentations, lectures and live theater. Our acousticians consulted on architectural acoustics and mechanical system noise and vibration control.

Bass Performance Hall
You are invited to tour Bass Performance Hall on June 9th

On the heels of the League of American Orchestras conference, Chris Jaffe will lead a tour of Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth Texas on June 9th.  To learn more or register for the tour contact  Jonah Sacks.  


Robert Berens is among the guides leading "Designing an Arts Education Megaplex: A Tour of The Paramount Center" at Emerson College" on June 21 during the Theater Communications Group (TCG) Conference (June 21-23) in Boston, MA.

Are you familiar with the newest American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines for Assistive Listening Devices?  Do you know which system best suits a particular venue?  David Bateman, CTS-D has highlighted the changes that became effective March 15, 2012 in this article.  He also explains the various systems that are available to meet the guidelines.    

 

Meet Our Team: David Bateman, CTS-D, Senior Consultant 

David is a Certified Technology
Specialist in Design from InfoComm International, the governing body that oversees the audiovisual industry. He has been designing sound, video, and backstage systems for the last 15 years. His recent work includes the audiovisual system design for the Wellesley High School Auditorium, the sound system renovation at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida and design of the sound and backstage systems for the Calderwood Pavilion in Boston.  David became heavily involved in music at an early age, and was introduced to the inner workings of a theater at Interlochen Arts Academy. In addition to being an accomplished violist, David has worked as a lighting designer, rigger, stage manager, and Technical Director. Finding his groove behind a mixing console, David has mixed live shows in a variety of venues - from theme parks to cruise ships. David holds a Bachelor of Music from The D'Angelo School of Music in Viola, and a Master of Arts in Set Design from Villanova University.
