ANNUAL WAGE & BENEFIT SURVEY RESULTS AVAILABLE

ABC's NH/VT Annual Construction Industry Wage & Benefit Survey Results are now available to members. The annual survey data, collected from December 2014 through March 2015, included responses from 50 contractors, with an average of 49 employees and an average annual volume of $11 million. The responses covered wage and benefit practices for 17 classifications of employees. The survey results also provide information on health, dental, disability, retirement and other life style benefits.
This survey is the only one of its kind available in our area. We appreciate the response from members to assure we received data to provide the most valuable information for as many employee classifications as possible. The survey data is extremely important to:
- Provide members with valuable information to maintain competitive wage and benefit practices
- Support owners who may be purchasing construction services and are subjected to union campaigns that include inaccurate statements about merit shop wage and benefit practices
- Provide legislators and other public policy decision maker's factual, documented evidence of the wage and benefit practices of merit shop contractors.

BE RECOGNIZED FOR COMPANY SAFETY PERFORMANCE -

All contractor and supplier members are encouraged to participate in the 2015 ABC NH/VT Annual Safety Awards program. Submit your entry to receive recognition for your efforts to provide a safe work place! Share the recognition with your employees and promote pride and increased morale for a job well done! The Safety Awards Program is also a great opportunity to receive recognition to support enhanced prequalification by owners. In fact, increasingly the data submitted on the awards application is being required by owners.
Annual Construction Industry Safety Awards are presented for the 'best', 'most improved' and 'most creative' safety programs among the "large" and "small" member firms that submit entries. Applications are easy to complete and the potential rewards are great. The deadline for entries is May 8th, the Awards will be presented at ABC's Annual Education & Employee Recognition Awards Event on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

REMINDER: RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING PROJECTS AND THE HEROES THAT MAKE THEM HAPPEN

All member contractors have now received the invitation for entry to Associated Builders & Contractors' 2015 EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS (EIC) program. Be recognized, promote your capabilities and get noticed by prospective customers. The 2015 Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Capital Center for the Arts, in Concord, NH. Projects to be entered must have been completed between 1/1/13 and 1/1/15. The deadline for entries is June 29, 2015.
Some changes have been made to the entry process this year in response to feedback from members and an effort to accommodate the submission effort and emphasize/clarify criteria and "points" for a winning award. As always, there are entry categories for all contractors and projects from any New England state may be entered.
So, its time:
- Select a "champion" to be responsible for coordinating the entry production and instigating support from project team members and
- As soon as possible review the criteria, select your project(s) and plan entry production activities.
Please feel free to contact the chapter office to schedule a meeting to assist your planning and preparation of an entry, including questions on entry rules, requirements tips for submitting an entry and examples of award winning submissions and the required project narratives.
