NH Legislation Proposes to Apply Federal Prevailing Wage and Benefit Regulation to State Funded Construction Projects
Among the legislation ABC is preparing for in 2016 is NH HB 1641, which would require federally determined wage and benefits and all the related administrative burdens on state funded construction projects.

ABC will fight to prevent the return of the "mini Davis Bacon" Act in this state, which was repealed in 1984.

As stated in the bill:

"The minimum prevailing hourly rate of wages and benefits for any class of workers employed on a public works construction project subject to this chapter shall be the rate set forth by the most recent wage determination issued by the United States Department of Labor for the corresponding class of workers, for the New Hampshire county in which such public works construction project shall take place, as made available by the United States Department of Labor on the department's website or wherever the United States Department of Labor may make available such wage determination."

ABC Wage and Benefit Survey Results Important to Your Business and to Prevent State Prevailing Wage and Benefit Law! - Your participation and feedback is more important than ever!
The ABC NH/VT Chapter continues to collect data for its 2016 Wage & Benefit Survey. This anonymous survey is the only one of its kind available in our area. The survey data is extremely important to provide factual data to counter the anecdotal references made by union representatives and others supporting prevailing wage laws.  The survey results will be used in the legislative arena and other public policy decision making forums to provide documented evidence of the current wage and benefit practices of merit shop contractors.

The survey can be completed online; it is very user friendly and a quick easy process!  CLICK HERE and please help ABC help you by participating. If you are not the correct company contact to complete the survey, please forward the survey / this email to the correct contact.

The survey data is also extremely important to members’ efforts to understand current wage and benefit practices and to maintain competitive practices to attract and retain quality employees. I f you have not already, PLEASE complete the survey. Members will be notified when the completed data and survey results are available.
