How is Your Day Going?

Well, here we are again...ready for a "self-care" break? A time to kick back and breathe in and breathe out.  No matter the weather, the client load ... we can never forget our break time - because it's all about "self-care" so that I may continue to help facilitate "self-care" for my clients.

Today is about Creativity... and, it's Healing power...And, we mean ALL the arts:
painting,music,dance,poetry,writing,storytelling,journaling,cooking, comedy,photography,acting,ceramics,running,meditation,playing,and, etc.....

Counselor's Inspirational Quotes of the Day:

" As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Marianne Williamson -

"To exist if to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly." - Henri Bergson -

" To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong." - Joseph Chilton Pierce -

And ... A BIG Thank You to Terri Melvin of TIAC for her support in providing our Art Room for the Art Party the evening of November 5th....

Remember to Gift yourselves...Have a great day!

Commiting Self-Care at Work...
We had a great workshop Friday.  I asked the participants to create a small card with an image/words that would "center them" prior to entering into a situation at work that may be stressful.  And then to keep it at their desk, in a drawer, pocket etc.... ready when needed.
This is something you might consider doing for youselves.  Be creative... use collage, paint, stamping or just a marker.  I was impressed with their results.
You could also introduce a similar activity with your clients. Have Fun!!!
