Additional Money Obtained for the Franchise Fee

CRC administers the Franchise Fee Credit Program, a City of Topeka program that provides eligible households a standardized credit by utility. Each approved household can qualify for up to $175 in credit for the calendar year 2016 We have received additional funds for the program.

We will continue to accept walk-ins here at Avondale East, Tuesdays and Thursdays     9:00 am - 3 pm.

2016 Learning Summit

The first day of the Advocacy Series was to a successful start and we want you to be apart of the rest!

The Advocacy Series consists of three half day events featuring knowledgeable educators, advocacy basics, and specialized government information. 

November 2nd - Advocacy Basics 
 
November 17th - Basics of Local Government

November 8th - Nuts and Bolts: State Legislature

Fulfilling Civic Duty

To celebrate the upcoming Veteran's Day Topeka Metro is offering free rides for the month of November to all  active duty military personnel and veterans by showing the bus operator their veteran ID when boarding the bus. 

Also on Election Day, November 8th, Topeka Metro will offer bus rides free of charge all day for fixed routes, and provide two free rides for the paratransit users.
 
Topeka Metro believes that transportation for Topekans should not be an obstacle on this very important day. Routes will run their typical hours until 7:20 p.m. for more information click here
ATTENTION ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS

We at CRC invite students to our Advocacy Series, this is a unique experience for students for them to not only learn about local government but also socialize with government officials. 

Tickets for students are only $10! Student will be able to buy tickets at the door or order online at
