Boise, ID --04/23/2018 -- Boise School District is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments effective July 1, 2018.
Curtis Anderson - Principal, Riverside Elementary School
Curtis Anderson has served as a successful educator since 1996. During his career in education he has served 7 years as a teacher and 14 years as an education administrator. Mr. Anderson has extensive experience leading diverse populations of students as an elementary school principal both in Boise (Mountain View Elementary School 2012 to present) and in Kirkland, Washington. He also served students as an assistant principal at Horizon Elementary School in the Boise School District.
In those administrative roles, Mr. Anderson has led his staff in developing positive student and family centered school cultures. Mr Anderson also has broad experience leading school teams in interpreting test results, identifying strengths and needs of individual students, establishing goals, and implementing action plans. Mr. Anderson has extensive leadership experience working as an adjunct professor at Northwest University in Kirkland, WA where he taught classroom management and social studies/art methods classes for preservice teachers enrolled in undergraduate and graduate teacher certification programs.
Mr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and History from Northwest University(Kirkland, WA), Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from City University (Bellevue, WA) and his Principal Certification from Seattle Pacific University (Seattle, WA).

Abram Lines - Principal, Mountain View Elementary School
Abram Lines has served as a secondary school teacher (5 years), assistant high school principal in Texas (2 years) and assistant principal at Capital High School in the Boise School District (4 years). He is an effective leader who is committed to the District's Strategic Plan Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and in citizenship. Mr. Lines is committed to building a safe and respectful learning environment for students and staff.
As a school administrator, he has successfully directed a number of responsibilities, including providing instructional supervision of a high school social studies department, overseeing school security, observing and evaluating classroom teachers, interviewing applicants for teaching and security positions, and serving as his school's AVID Site Administrator, a program to successfully prepare middle performing students for the rigors of college.
Mr. Lines also taught secondary school students, designing, implementing and teaching curriculum for at-risk 9th grade students, as well as teaching various Advanced Placement courses in social studies. He also coached boys’ basketball and girls’ track and field. Mr. Lines has experience leading continuous collaborative evaluation of curriculum with students, teachers and school administrators and as a conference presenter on the topic of Technology: Transforming the Role of the Instructional Leader.
Abram received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from Boise State University and a Master Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University - Central Texas.

Erin Kubena - Assistant Principal, Capital High School
Erin Kubena’s career in public school education begin in 2000 when she served as a Title One math teacher in the Meridian School District (now West Ada School District). Since that time, she has successfully held a variety of positions in the Boise School District, from elementary school teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School (2000-08), Driver’s Education Program Coordinator at Fairmont and South junior high schools (2002-03), Summer School Program Principal at Franklin and Hawthorne elementary schools (2002-09), Intern Principal at Trail Wind and Koelsch elementary schools (2008-09) and Trail Wind and Horizon elementary schools (2009-10), Assistant Principal at East Junior High School (2009-10), Assistant Principal at East Junior High School and Riverside Elementary School (2010-12), Assistant Principal at Horizon Elementary School (2012-13) and Principal at Riverside Elementary School (2013 to present).
In each of the positions she has held, Mrs. Kubena has demonstrated a strong commitment and dedication to the students she serves and effective instructional leadership skills that have helped staff and students succeed in the classroom. She is dedicated to the Boise School District’s Strategic Plan Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and citizenship.
Mrs. Kubena earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University, a Master of Education Degree in Technology from Lesley University (Cambridge, MA) and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.

Bill McKitrick - Safety and Security Supervisor, Boise School District
Bill McKitrick has served Idaho's public school children for 25 years. During that time, he worked as a special education teacher (Mountain Home School District and Boise School District - Whittier Elementary School and Les Bois Junior High School) and as a campus administrator (Liberty Elementary School, Les Bois Junior High School, Riverglen Junior High School, Borah High School and Dennis Technical Education Center).
As a professional educator, Mr. McKitrick is dedicated to the success of each and every student. He is committed to the District's Strategic Plan Vision of preparing students for success beyond high school, whether it’s excelling in college studies, career, or citizenship. Mr. McKitrick believes in establishing a positive school culture of open communication and is committed to creating a protected learning environment for all students and staff members. He has extensive experience working with local law enforcement to develop and support measures that enhance and improve the safety and security of Boise schools.
Mr. McKitrick earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from Boise State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education from Boise State University and an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho.

Camille Fraley - Assistant Principal, Riverglen Junior High School
Camille Fraley has served Boise School District students since 1992. She has successfully held a number of positions during her public school education career, including secondary teacher (North Junior High, 1992-98; Boise High, 1992; Boise Summer School, 1992-95; Boise Evening School, 1993-95), Assistant Principal (Fort Boise Alternative Junior High Summer School, 1996-98; North Junior High, 1999-2007; Fairmont Junior High, 2007-10; Frank Church High School 2013-18), and Principal (Longfellow Elementary School 2010-13; Boise Evening School 2014-18).
Ms. Fraley is a respected and dedicated instructional leader who focuses on creating and fostering a school environment conducive to successful learning for each and every student. She is passionate about establishing a positive school culture that supports students and staff members.
Ms. Fraley is a strong communicator focused on building strong relationships with students and families. She is dedicated to preparing students for success beyond school, both in their lives as citizens and in whatever career they choose to pursue. Her knowledge, experience and student-focused skill-set will serve her well as she becomes Assistant Principal at Riverglen Junior High School.
Ms. Fraley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho (1991) and a Master of Educational Administration Degree from the University of Idaho (1996).

Shelly Wray - Math Supervisor, Boise School District
Shelly Wray has more than 27 years of experience teaching students math and also providing professional development opportunities for educators. In her career, she has served as a math teacher in Guatemala (1992), a Spanish teacher in The Dalles, Or (1992-93), a math teacher in Wenatchee, WA (1993-99), a math teacher in Bend, OR (1999-2002), an education and math instructor at Central Oregon Community College, Bend, OR (2001-04), and since 2004 she has worked as a junior high math teacher in the Boise School District (East - 2004-10 and North 2010-15). Since 2015, Mrs. Wray has helped students and staff across the Boise School District in her role as District Math Coach. In that role, she has provided successful professional development math training for all teachers. In addition, Mrs. Wray has researched current educational math issues, planned, observed and provided math coaching services to three secondary schools and five elementary schools within the Boise School District.
Mrs. Wray is a well-respected and knowledgeable education professional who believes all children can learn and succeed. To that end, she is a strong educational leader who is passionate about providing encouragement, resources and training for her fellow educators. Her experience in the classroom spans junior high mathematics to pre-calculus in the classroom. She has also been involved in the transition to the Idaho Core Standards, having successfully helped align the District's math curriculum to the new math standards. Mrs. Wray is dedicated to the District’s Vision of preparing all students to succeed in college, career and in life.
Mrs. Wray earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Whitworth College and a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction/Technology from City University.
