Outreach in Action: Adopt-A-Block

It's our anniversary! One year ago First Church partnered with the City of Madison and Downtown Madison, Inc. in a pilot program, Adopt-A-Block. This program involves picking up litter and getting to know our neighborhood and neighbors without homes. It also involves reporting any structural problems requiring repair. We are looking for people to volunteer once a month to help us continue this program in our second year. Contact Karen Andro, Director of Outreach Ministries, to learn how you can help: 608-338-0320 or kandro@fumc.org.
Summer Choir This Sunday
Meet: 8:15 a.m., Choir Room

All singers are invited to join the Summer Choir this Sunday. If you have been thinking you might like to sing with the choir, now is the perfect time to try it out! The group will rehearse the anthem for the morning at 8:15 a.m. and then will sing at the 9 a.m. worship service. Those who are able can stay to sing the anthem at the 10:30 a.m. service too.
